Kathleen Robertson is the owner and CQO (Chief Quilting Officer) for Make It Modern Events, a small woman owned events company for sewists, quiltmakers, knitters and all kinds of makers. Kathleen started her sewing career when she was a teenager, learning to knit, crochet, and sew clothing from her mother (o.k. Kathleen freely admits that the knitting part of her training was closer to a disaster than a skill well learned and loved!) Quilting came into her life when she began to collect antique quilts in the late 80s and decided to learn how to make a quilt herself. Modern quilting has taken over Kathleen’s sewing hours since the late 90s. She has had quilts accepted in the New Quilts of Northern California special exhibit at Pacific International Quilt Festival, Road to California and QuiltCon. Kathleen is looking forward to this next phase of her career, having retired as a practicing attorney.
